Long Island Wedding from Paul Francis Photography

I wish you lovelies could have seen my face as I immersed myself in the gallery of this wedding from Paul Francis Photography. Amid a few ridiculous outbursts of “oh my stars” and indecipherable noises of joy, my heart was falling deeper and deeper in love. Oh yes, this is a good one. The Monique Lhuillier gown with the Jimmy Choos AND those blush Ivy & Aster dresses? You’re doomed. Get lost in the gallery right here.

From the Bride… When passing a wedding being held at The Old Field Club, we knew this would be the perfect place for us to get married. The setting had the perfect mix of laid-back elegance and charm that fit both our personalities. The venue, just five minutes from my parents’ home, held the memories that I grew up with, as well as matching Casey’s San Diego surfer attitude. The wedding colors we picked were blush and cream with mushroom accents. We wanted the wedding to be light, airy and romantic. Being a summer wedding, we wanted to keep our bridal party cool with our bridesmaids wearing blush-colored dresses and groomsmen in khaki suits.Being able to get ready in my parents home with all my bridesmaids and family was such a special moment. I especially loved the pictures taken with my bridesmaids on our pebble driveway, as well as the pictures were in the ivy of my front yard. When Paul suggested I climb into the forest of my front yard, I couldn’t have been more excited! I felt like being around all the ivy and trees was so magical that I could not wait to get in there and twirl!

The arbor that we stood under meant a lot to us because my father built this for us with wood that was collected by the beach. It was a part of the wedding that felt very personal, as we stood under the arbor to share our vows, which we wrote for each other. Our recessional song was Taylor Swift “Love Story,” which brought a fun and surprising ending to our ceremony. Our florist did an absolute amazing job with decorating every inch of my venue. We actually found our florist from a flower class I took with my mother, as he was our teacher! We knew that he would be able to do an amazing job, and we could not have been happier. We wanted to be sure our guests were able to enjoy little favors to remember the special day: candy bar, photo booth, custom sunglasses and custom matchboxes.

The day was just perfect from beginning to end, and to top it off, Paul and Carolyn left us with a preview booklet of some pictures from the day for us to take with us THAT NIGHT! I spent hours of my honeymoon looking at that book and remembering how amazing the day was. Everything about my wedding felt like a fairytale and I couldn’t have done it without my amazing team and, most importantly, my family.
