Montreal Wedding from Emilie Iggiotti Photography

I’m totally loving every single inch of this non traditional wedding sent into us by Emilie Iggiotti Photography. I love how special and homemade all the details are. Nothing is stuffy or overdone, but rather full of sentiment and love. The couple chose to have no wedding party, they made the Chuppah out of the bride’s late grandmother’s table cloth and their best friend baked the cake. It’s so sweet and simple, not to mention drop dead beautiful. See even more right here.

From the Bride… Almost immediately after we got engaged, Lane and I decided to get married in Montreal, where I was born and raised and where Lane had lived for a few months years before met in Los Angeles. Montreal is a magical city, and we were excited about all of the beautiful places we could show our guests. The first thing we did was to pick the two most important things to us and then find a venue that best fit our vision: amazing food and plenty of space to dance. We also wanted the ceremony, cocktails and reception to all happen in one spot, and the moment we walked into Bice, everything just felt right and it felt like us. Our ceremony was not very traditional — our best friend officiated, we made a Chuppah from my late grandmother’s table cloth, there were no bridesmaids, our best friend made our wedding cake, and we wrote our ceremony and vows. We wanted everything about that day, and especially the ceremony, to be unmistakeably ours. And every detail felt like Lane and Wendy. The day was an absolute dream from start to finish. We had a ball bopping around Old Montreal with Emilie in the afternoon, taking photos on rooftops and sneaking into a museum. The food and drinks were amazing, the venue could not have been more beautiful, and our coordinator orchestrated every possible detail so that Lane and I could soak up every amazing moment and dance the night away.
