From GATHER Events and Occasions… Denise and Giampiero were such an absolute joy to work with as a couple. Their obvious love and enjoyment of each other, paired with their zest for life and laughter, made the whole planning and design process so exciting and completely endeared them to us. It was so fun to incorporate his Italian roots, her love of crafts and their hilarious bear obsession into different aspects of the event. The couple came to us with a vision of a lovely, intimate, outdoor evening dinner for their closest friends and family. It was extremely important to them to create an environment where their guest felt welcome and taken care of and truly a part of the celebration.
Set on top of Saddlerock Ranch’s beautiful Chateau Le Dome property, the ceremony and reception reflected the soft, romantic and a bit eclectic style they had envisioned. The color palette featured hints of coral and peach, touches of gold and dark wood. We even found a way to incorporate a bit of leather lace (Denise owns a jewelry company and frequently uses the material in her designs) by wrapping it around the baguette seating cards on the dinner table! Krista Jon and Archive Vintage Rentals really brought the vision to life with their gorgeous florals and beautiful rental pieces. Elan Artists’ band, Ground Control, filled the air with festive Bossa Nova style jazz music. It was such a great, collaborative team to work with.
Speaking of dinner, Denise and Giampiero are a couple after our own hearts and are total foodies. The ladies from Whoa Nelly! came up with an absolutely incredible six-course market tasting menu that featured the most delicious seasonal ingredients SoCal has to offer in the summer. Stone fruit, crab and corn soup, quail with cornbread stuffing, grilled oysters … all mouth-wateringly delicious. We can’t say enough good things about the creativity and care Stephanie and Elizabeth put into their menus, cooking and service. The gorgeous dessert bar was curated by Sweet and Saucy Shop. We’ve never seen a bride as excited about dessert as Denise was — cake pops, fruit tarts and cherry pies, oh my! The event in its entirety was captured by the talented Heather Kincaid and filmed by the creative Tower Films duo.
