Although I’m a born and bred Midwestern girl, I do sometimes believe my heart belongs to the South. It’s the charm seeping from every which way, the unabashed femininity and that iconic Spanish moss that make my heart pitter patter…and this crazy-romantic Palmetto Bluff wedding from Ashley Seawell Photography is only solidifying my obsession. From Ashley Seawell Photography… Carlisle and Tripp’s wedding was incredibly elegant in the surroundings of Palmetto Bluff. The bride and groom decided that Palmetto Bluff would be the perfect wedding location because of its captivating views and delectable cuisine. They were excited to bring their family and friends to a pristine space that was peaceful and filled with a natural landscape. The wedding design team allowed the busy couple to easily plan their dream wedding from a distance. The soft hues of coral and gray complimented the lush, lowcountry landscape. The bride added subtle elements of boxwood, linen and twine. The chapel’s heart pine pews were accented with simple wreaths of boxwood. After a cocktail hour overlooking the May River, all guests dined at one (very long!) table lined with hydrangea, garden roses, sweet peas and ranunculus. Following dinner, the bride and groom enjoyed their first dance and cake cutting inside the Palmetto Bluff’s beautiful golf club. The many ruffles on the bride’s gorgeous dress provided inspiration for the delicious and beautiful wedding cake.
