Atlanta Contemporary Art Center Wedding from A Big To Do Event

Here at SMP, we fawn over and write about gorgeous weddings day-in and day-out. And when a wedding like this one comes along, I thank my lucky stars that I get to share it with all of you lovelies. Filled to the brim with personality and overflowing with emotion, this Atlanta Contemporary Art Center fête, styled and designed by Aesthetic Floral & Event Artistry with planning by A Big To Do Event, will have you smiling from start to finish. The fun continues in the full gallery thanks Theary Meak Photography!

From A Big To Do EventAntonio and Chinnette were a planner’s dream come true! They understood every side of a wedding since they are both creative people who know the power of good logistics! The groom often works as a DJ and the bride goes by the nickname “The DJ’s Girl” (see her custom wedding gown hanger!), so they know how to throw a party! There was no short supply of love at this wedding as the couple was surrounded by family and friends (and the bride’s special group of ladies, the China Dolls!).

The couple got married in the courtyard of the Atlanta Contemporary Arts Center, where the rust of the beams draped with fabric and covered with lights added to the beauty of this vintage wedding. During the ceremony, the couple locked love letters to each other in a small trunk so they could relive how they felt on their wedding day and remember their promises to one another. Antonio and Chinnette chose to let a symbol of “LOVE” represent their day, substituting a peach for the O, which the couple’s friend carved in wood to serve as the guest book. A color scheme of purple, silver and ivory complemented the vintage feel as single stems came together to make dramatic centerpieces. More vintage trunks could be seen throughout the wedding to hold the ceremony programs by Foglio Press and favors of bottle openers for the men and pashminas for the ladies. The cake topper was custom made to look just like the bride and groom, complete with Antonio’s glasses! Guests danced under the stars and twinkle lights before sending the gorgeous newlyweds off with a sparkler exit!
