SMP Thanksgiving Menu: Classic Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry sauce.  That yummy little recipe that basically needs to make an appearance on every table across the country.  Because not only is it seriously delish (and one of my personal faves), it makes for one pretty pop of color on that always amazing list of Thanksgiving goodies.  Believe you me.

  1. Place cranberries, sugar, orange zest, cinnamon stick and water into pan and cook over low heat until the sugar dissolves and the sauce comes to a thin gelatin consistency, 10-15 minutes.
  2. Increase heat to medium/high and cook until cranberries burst. Remove cinnamon stick and let cool completely. This can be made in advance and refrigerated.
