Twine and burlap – two seriously sweet (+ uber-gorgeous) touches that have the power to make any wedding sing. Case in point? This beyond breathtaking Byron Bay affair, which is not only boasting some of the loveliest twine and burlap-infused details you will ever lay your eyes upon (here’s looking at you, darling centerpieces), but a downright stunning location and a rustic meets whimsical vibe that is all sorts of amazing. From Jess Marks… Lauren and Matt had a gorgeous wedding in one of our favorite places — the Byron Bay Hinterland, Australia. Fig Tree Restaurant played host for the day with the bride and groom both getting ready in the guest houses, the ceremony next to the amazing fig tree looking over Byron Bay, and then the reception was of course held in Fig Tree Restaurant itself. There were lots of lovely touches, from the natural arbor for them to get married under to canapes by the pool for the guests while the bride and groom were doing photos. The reception was beautifully decorated with flowers and lots of earthy touches.
Lauren and Matt couldn’t speak highly enough of the venue, saying, “Amazing venue in a beautiful location. High-quality, restaurant-style food with a huge range of menu options to choose from. The staff were AMAZING and took care of all the little things. They went above and beyond to ensure everyone was looked after and happy. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant was BYO, which was a major advantage! Cocktails by the pool and lawn games topped it off too.”
Add in Lauren’s absolutely amazing dress and a special “horn” performance by her dad and brother, and it really was a beautiful day.
