Jackson Hole Wedding from Carrie Patterson Photography

I’m going out on a limb here when I say Jackson Hole might be the ideal spot for a wedding. It’s perfect – beautiful weather, beautiful scenery, and some of the most beautiful couples in the world. No wonder Carrie Patterson Photography captures utter gorgeousness every time she clicks her shutter. This wedding is no exception to the beauty rule of Jackson Hole, but on top of the stunning, there is so much heart and laughter, I simply cannot force myself to leave the pretty, pretty gallery!

Tim and I probably crossed paths long before we actually met.  We both went to the same college but never met while we were there.  Years later we were set up by mutual friends in New York who happened to be getting married in Jackson Hole shortly after we started dating.  Little did we know at the time but many of the same guests would be headed back to Jackson for our wedding just a few years later.

I grew up in Jackson Hole and Tim may love Jackson even more than I do so there was no question where we were going to get married.  We also wanted to share with our friends the outdoors and western hospitality that we love.  Our ceremony was held in a small chapel in Grand Teton National Park where my parents were married.  I think my favorite memory of the entire day is walking up the steps to the church and seeing Tim looking at me from the end of the aisle.  Carrie Patterson, our photographer, took a great picture of this moment.  We had our reception in the backyard of my parents’ home.  The weather was perfect so we were able to have the cocktail hour outside as the sun was setting over the mountains.

As the evening got cooler we gave out pink pashminas to all the ladies and had Too Haute Cowgirls popcorn (so delicious!) sent home for the guys.  It could not have been a more perfect day for us.
