Another Wedding Wednesday is upon us, SMPers - and that means an entire day of non-stop inspiration is coming your way.  I'm talking everything from drop-dead gorgeous barn bashes to beautiful lakeside fêtes to mesmerizing Italian soirees.  Yep... it's that good.  So, cozy on up for a morning, noon and night of pretty - and don't forget to check out those galleries, where even more lovely awaits!

We're kicking off the festivities with an Alabama affair that is all kinds of fabulous.  And by all kinds of fabulous, I mean a family farm shindig with too many inspiring details to count.  Think floral hair wreaths, beautiful blooms by In Bloom and a heart-stoppingly gorgeous ceremony under an old Oak tree and you're on the right track.  Susan Hudson Photography captured every last magical moment and the gallery is a literal swoon-fest of pretty.  Join me there for more.

From the Bride... It is amazing how smoothly everything came together for the wedding. Keep in mind, this is from my perspective. I am not sure that my mom or wedding planner, Susan Rutenberg, would say the same thing. Also, my dad showed me more patience and grace than humanly possible. I'm a very laid-back person. Organized thoughts, responding to missed calls and emails, and planning ahead are not my greatest qualities. Friends and family laughed at the thought of me planning a wedding, but I knew exactly how the day was supposed to look.

The wedding was held on our family farm, "The Promised Land," under a huge oak tree that my parents have always loved. Our inspiration for the wedding came from solely desiring to express what Jesus being married to his Bride looks like. Rather than choosing to hire strangers to complete the tasks that needed to be accomplished for the wedding, we chose a different approach. Our friends are extremely talented, and we wanted the wedding to be an opportunity for them to step into their unique gifts. Laurel, a friend I met through Chi-O at Auburn, does not go anywhere without her camera. She can capture emotion in a very special way, which is why she took our engagement pictures. Amanda Claire, roommate and graphic designer, has the gift of creating beauty out of nothing, along with a strange love for typography. She made the most lovely invitations that I could not even dream up! Trent and Lydia, college friends, worship the Lord through song with their whole hearts, holding nothing back. They led everyone into worship during the ceremony. Selwyn Reynolds, mom's running buddy and a family friend who made my childhood birthday cakes, took on a wedding cake for the first time! That cake ... it is hard to describe how perfectly it melted in your mouth. The best cake I have ever had hands down. The list of people who made this wedding so unique and specific to Taylor and me does not end.

I am a lover of a detailed atmosphere. Lighting candles, background music and special touches are day-changers for me. I wasn't sure how you could make such a huge space with lots of people feel homey. I thank the Lord that our wedding planner and Ron and Mark of In Bloom were masters at this! They thought of everything from creating a doorway in the middle of an open field to hand-stamped napkins off of Etsy with our wedding date on them. The table at the altar was made out of my Papaw's barn wood in the days before the wedding. Mason jars, food hot off the grill and candles made the reception have a relaxed and at-home feel. Cynthia Hart, an inspiring woman of the Lord and founder of CynShea's Restaurant and Catering, did an unbelievable job with the food. The s'mores bar was a hit with the kids while the adults enjoyed the "Tuscan Table" with olives, wine and breads. My brother is a pyromaniac and jumped at the opportunity to set off fireworks as we left for the honeymoon. All in all, it was literally a heavenly experience.
