Any bride who has her girls dress in white on her wedding day is pretty amazing in my book. She’s confident, loving and strong. Just as I love her bridesmaids dresses, and the adorable “fettuccini with vodka cream sauce story” below, I am in awe over this celebration by Cathrin D’Entremont Weddings. With rich corals and variety, Zinnia Floral Design nailed the floral arrangements. From Cathrin D’Entremont Weddings… When I first started to help Eliza in creating her wedding, she told me that at the beginning of their relationship, Cain wanted to invite her over to his place for dinner. Cain had read somewhere that if he cooked this “Fettuccini with Vodka Cream Sauce,” she would fall in love with him. Well, it worked! I just had to integrate this into their wedding. Eliza wanted an earthy theme to match the vineyard with the colours coral and cream. As we needed some color for the tables, Eliza’s grandma was so kind and sewed 103 napkins for guests. We then placed a wooden frame on top of each napkin with the recipe for “Fettuccini with Vodka Cream Sauce: inside. The name was laser cut into the wood acting as the place card.
The reception room was quite plain and bare, but the flowers just made the room shine. Eliza wanted a sweetheart table right from the start so her four bridesmaids and four groomsmen could sit with their partners. Long tables and a feast-style dinner was just right for their guests. Eliza’s dress was designed by Donna Tobin and it was so perfect for her. We also integrated the coral color by having coral shoes for the bridesmaids and some coral jewelry and pashminas to match. Apart from a few hours’ power failure when the bride and bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done and the air being icy cold, it was a perfect day.
