From the Bride… The inspiration behind our wedding probably started once we selected the venue. After seeing Arroyo Trabuco and its garden/vineyard look, I was able to imagine how I wanted the wedding to look — a garden full of fresh-cut flowers and not a lot of fuss. Our invites, including the save-the-dates, set the tone for the wedding. Green, yellow and burlap colors created the color scheme for the wedding. I love how everything came together — from the succulent escort cards, to the cocktail tables with peonies in milk glass, it all just looked great. We used the flowers from the arch to go on the head table — I was very happy to be reusing the florals! I met with the florist about three times and even changed my mind on colors a week before the wedding, but in the end, it was exactly how I envisioned it!
It is hard to name just one favorite memory, but I think sitting in the getaway car with Aaron as people came up and said goodbye to us was just surreal. The wedding was done — 11 months of planning was over — and everything we had wanted came true. We were husband and wife! Driving back to the hotel, we both couldn’t stop smiling and reflecting on what just happened. Another favorite moment was the last song of the night: Sweet Caroline. All the guests were around Aaron and me, and it was just amazing feeling the happiness and FUN everyone was having! My biggest fear was that no one would dance, which is probably why I was on the dance floor the entire time — no joke, and hence the wet hair in the photos.
