I’m totally onboard with the idea that a formal wedding doesn’t necessarily equal a traditional wedding and this wildly adorable shoot from Head Over Heels with Melanie really proves that point! The bride’s feathery J.Crew frock and the maid’s Zara sparklers are a modern, quirky take on classic black + white and the punchy florals from Daisy Rose Floral Design add a playful pop of color. From Head Over Heels with Melanie… The concept for this bridal fashion photo shoot was to emphasize that a formal wedding doesn’t need to be a traditional one. You can have your cake and eat it too, ladies! This breathtaking feather shortie has the sass of your favorite party dress and an air of whimsy and romance all wrapped up in one sexy little package! This shoot was a collaboration between San Francisco/Bay Area vendors wanting to showcase their talents in a playful, unique way. With the streets of San Francisco as our backdrop, we gallivanted around the city to the sounds of hoots and hollers for our bride and her maids. These gorgeous ladies were literally stopping traffic! The modern, stylish color palette, chosen by Daisy of Daisy Rose Floral Design, featured bouquets that were the perfect contrast to the white feathers and black sparkle ensembles. The mix made for a fresh, flirty and unique combination. Krista of Krista Marie Photography took the concept to another level with her detailed images and chic sensibility. I had a goal to find exceptional pieces that were affordable and could be recreated by brides everywhere. Between the feathers, bows and sparkle, this shoot has it all!
