Three magical, little words. Three words that when by themselves mean nothing, but when strung together + placed inside Historic Cedarwood, are magical. English Country Garden. When Cedarwood Weddings worked with a gorgeous couple to create a wedding with an English Country Garden ambiance, they were making pure, beautiful magic - worthy of Rachel Moore Photography's well loved lens. It's a soiree you won't want to miss every single detail of, and luckily, they are all sitting pretty in the full image gallery!

Andrew and I met when we were both living in Nashville. We had a connection because we are both originally from North Carolina. And as Providence would have it, Candace was the first person Andrew met in Nashville from NC.

We fell in love with Cedarwood before we even visited. Looking at photographs of every wedding – particularly the absolutely gorgeous flowers and beautiful outdoor setting drew us to Cedarwood. Candace was ready to put down a deposit without seeing it! In addition, it was nice having so many fantastic vendors to collaborate with and not having to scout ones out on our own. All the vendors Cedarwood provided and recommended exceeded our expectations.

At the same time, we felt like our wedding was so “us” because we had the flexibility to add our special touches and incorporate our ideas, like: soft, romantic flowers and lace decor to create our "english country garden" fantasy. At the reception we created a special wine bar area to display and serve wine that my father had collected for over 15 years. The bride’s veil was handcrafted by a family friend from vintage lace purchased by the bride’s maternal grandmother in Venice. The groom's bowtie was custom-made and hand-painted by Nashville artisan Otis James. It was black satin with “Carolina blue” polka dots. Southern touches include a Chapel Hil "Old Well" groom's cake, home made cheese straws at all the bars and bluegrass music at cocktail hour.

Three adjectives that describe the day are: Lace, love and laugher - all of which surrounded us on our wedding day. It was romantic, dreamy and beautiful. Our favorite detail of the day, besides the beautiful flowers, was the wine bar because it was very personal and special.
