Cappy Hotchkiss Photography is filling our screens with the prettiest of pink-hued weddings today, and let me just say, I am rather thrilled about it. Thrilled because it’s overflowing with details so gorgeous I want to hug them and blooms by Green Cottage so pretty I could cry. Thrilled because with just one look at this pretty party, I feel like I know this couple…and I want to be their bestie. There is just so much to raise your glasses (or coffee mugs) to floating around this sweet fête, and you can see it all right here.
From Cappy Hotchkiss Photography… This beautiful wedding was filled with lots of pink details. From hearts to frills, this pretty wedding was very feminine but not over the top. The florals were just amazing! Hand-embroidered welcome signs were made by friends, and all the friends and family made the pies, cakes, cookies, meringue and other desserts. The couple’s first dance was to Iz’s version of “Somewhere over the Rainbow.” During the cocktail hour, they practiced inside the barn, and when it was time, the doors opened to all the guests outside and there they were, dancing under big paper lanterns in the middle of the barn. He wore a straw hat and they played lawn games during the cocktail hour with a local ukelele duo playing. Laura works at Nanette Lapore and also makes her own fabulous iced cookies, which were included in the gift bag, along with individual tiny jams that they made. They live in Brooklyn but love to go to farmers’ markets and discovered High Falls when they visited the area to go apple picking. Fruit was a constant theme throughout the wedding with cherries and peaches overflowing out of fruit crates and the centerpieces. Laura also scoured sites such as eBay to find old books, which the florist used in the centerpieces.
