As someone that doesn’t just love summer, but LOVES summer – I do my best every year to drag it out as long as possible. Today this pretty summer shoot by Dragonflight Photography is helping me do just that. It’s filled with everything I love most about summer – sunshine, ice cream, the feeling that your a kid again – all wrapped around a super in love soon to be Mr. & Mrs. It’s what summer dreams are made of, and it’s all sitting pretty right here!

From Dragonflight Photography… I met Lainey through friends at dinner on Halloween two years ago. Who would have guessed that that chance encounter would later lead to friendship and photographing her and her hubby to be, Tyson. When Lainey asked if I was available and would be her wedding photographer — I’m not going to lie, I panicked! With only months away from her wedding day, I knew most of my popular wedding dates were booked, but I didn’t want to miss their wedding. Lucky for me, by chance one of the weekends I had off was their date! I absolutely said yes.
I gave Lainey the typical questionnaire that I give all my couples to make sure we were the right fit… Okay, I gave her the questionnaire because I thought it would be fun to see what she would write back with, and I knew it was going to be good when she opened her response to ‘How Did You Meet?’ with “Once upon a time, in September of 2005 Lainey and Tyson saw each other in a parking lot and made eye contact for a brief moment. Seven years later, Tyson and Lainey met at the insistence of our mutual friends. We were both initially opposed to the idea but gave in because our friends were relentless that we were “perfect for each other.” After meeting Tyson at our friend’s wedding earlier this year and photographing their engagement session, the evidence is undeniable — these two are absolutely perfect for one another.
“A Summer Romance” is the perfect theme for their engagement photo session. The images tell the story, but a little behind-the-scenes facts is that Tyson grew up going to Cultus Lake as a kid and shared lots of memories on the dock. It was the perfect fit to start a new memory with his future wife.
