San Diego High Tea Wedding Inspiration from Readyluck

Though officially we still have a little longer left in the Summer season, we’re dreaming of cooler weather and all it brings. So when Jonathan + Jacqueline of Readyluck sent over a High Tea inspired shoot, we couldn’t help but do a little happy jig and pull out our own tea cups. It’s the perfect inspiration for a chic, autumn shower, a bridesmaids luncheon or even just a fun dinner party. The full image gallery is filled with more high tea inspiration, so put up your pinky and meet us there!

From Readyluck … This winter Jonathan and Jacqueline sped off to sunny San Diego to photograph a styled inspiration shoot at a decadent 6-acre historic estate. Our amazing team of earth conscious event and style connoisseurs organically integrated their artistry into the idyllic setting. Our vision was a high tea setting with young bohemians crashing their grandparents’ mansion. Indulging in food and drink while digging through record collections and treasure trunks, mixologist Adam Stemmler of Blind Tiger Cocktail topped it all off with his spectacular afternoon cocktails.

Our ‘green’ stylist, Carlee Gerardi co-directs Green with Envy Events, a full service event design and production company. They specialize in creating innovative and stylish events that leave a lasting impression on the guests, not the planet. Carlee rummaged around San Diego to craft a decadent setting, breathing new life into objects both borrowed and thrifted. Re-using dried roses, she also collected manzanita branches and grew her own moss to incorporate throughout.

Our resident chef, Marci Flaster of To Dine For San Diego, hand- crafted tea sandwiches and color conscious grilled vegetables for our models to snack on. They were almost too beautiful to eat! Marci is very passionate about good, clean and beautiful food, which inspires her efforts to create and blog about delicious, seasonal and phenomenal looking food.

Greg, the artisan behind Paromi, provided sustainably packaged teas, “accented with fruits, spices, herbs, flowers, and essential oils. They are typically produced by small farms which pool their crops.”

Clothing stylist and former San Diego boutique owner, Michelle Kavieff gleaned designer vintage items from her own amazing collection. The Missoni dress model and artist Maha Camianos sported was a special highlight. Ashley Bendett’s hair and make up artistry brought the look together beautifully. She interpreted our boards creatively and really delivered a ‘period’ yet contemporary look.

Our model and jewelry designer Julie Simpson of Jeweliany is passionate about creating a line that blends art, function, beauty, and grace. Each piece is handmade in San Diego and is carefully constructed with prioritizing eco friendly materials. The bohemian headpieces, were both edgy and classic, which created a youthful yet regal style. Julie describes them as “chains mixed with bold crystals and floaty feather charms that dance in the hair.”
