New Hampshire Wedding from Hinkley Photo

If you could look and see my face as I am immersing myself in Hinkley Photo’s images of this lovely wedding at Promises To Keep, you would see just how blown away I am by this bride’s resourcefulness and utter creativity. We’re talking jaw.on.the.floor, folks. Every inch of this sweet little number is covered with the fingerprint of DIY and inventive solutions for the common wedding details and the result is simply breathtaking. I mean, bouquets made from Dollar Store buds sound downright crazy, but the amazing images at Robert Frost Farm prove that this wedding is one for the books. From the Bride… Keith and I met over seven years ago on the very first night of college when we were freshman. We were both film students and planned to move to Los Angeles after college to pursue our dreams of working in the entertainment industry. Well, it all went as planned, and four years, later we made the move across the country just four days after graduation. After living on the west coast for two years, we traveled to Aruba for my cousin’s destination wedding. It was there that Keith had proposed to me. We had a two-year engagement and planned to have the wedding back in our home state of New Hampshire (it was a lot easier to go back to everyone else than to have them come to us). Being from LA, we wanted to incorporate our love of movies into our wedding day, which you can see in the ticket-themed escort cards that I created. We were on a very tight budget so I either handmade or found discounted deals on almost every single wedding-related thing. I designed and assembled our save-the-date magnets, invitation suites, programs and signage in Photoshop and printed them myself at home. All of the bouquets, boutonnieres and flower decor were made by me out of Dollar Store flowers. I also made our wine ceremony box and card box out of wooden trunks that I used a wood burning tool to carve our initials and wedding date into. My custom dress was made at a fraction of the price of any other dress I tried on, and I made my own veil with French netting and a flower I found on clearance at a craft store.

We didn’t want to go too traditional at our wedding, so we opted to have a black and white polka dot theme with spring-colored accents, rather then a specific color theme. You can see the polka dots on our table runners, the ribbon on the base of the bridesmaids’ bouquets and the umbrella we used in some of our photos. The night was filled with dancing and laughter, and we ended the night with a sparkler send-off. The night was a perfect reflection of our relationship, not only with each other, but with everyone who made it out that night. Great times were had by all!
