Once upon a time, Zoo met Wedding, and BAM! What an amazingly unique and fun recipe for a night no one will ever forget! The couple exchanged vows to the sounds of Fort Worth Zoo and in front of a gorgeous weeping willow. Wild animals mingled with guests during cocktail hour (no joke!), and animal-inspired details were scattered throughout the reception. From Stephanie Hunter Photography… Louise and Brad’s vision was “zoo chic” — they wanted something vibrant, offbeat and fun, so they decided on a colorful fuchsia, cobalt blue and glitter theme. Bows & Arrows created awesome glitter vases filled with pops of pink and blue flowers. The sequin detail on the bouquets pulled together the glitter theme. The couple sent out paper confetti in their wedding colors with the gorgeous custom calligraphy invitations from Angi at Angelique Ink. For the ceremony, a simple, glittery “Forever & Ever” banner marked the altar on a deck that overlooked the zoo. Slowly-burning tiki torches and the sounds of wild animals accompanied the couple as they said their vows in front of a massive weeping willow that fluttered in the wind. Dinner was held in an art gallery at the zoo and for seating arrangements, little envelopes in the wedding colors had the names of their guests, but they included legendary couples such as “William & Kate,” “Fred & Wilma” and “Romeo & Juliet.” During cocktail hour, guests signed a DIY scrapbook made by Louise and offered wishes and advice. The kicker was the presence of the animals for the “Wild Wonders Show” where an owl, a boa and a penguin all made an appearance! While the family was taking pictures, guests sipped on cocktails and mingled with the animals! But the most important presence were the couple’s friends and family, who traveled from far and wide to love, support and celebrate Louise and Brad’s big, fun, joyous day.
