Toronto Bridal Shower from Lemon Fresh Designs Photography

A coffee shop bridal shower after a vanilla bean latte engagement – I love it! This bride was inspired by the latte she was enjoying when her fiance popped the question. With delicious baked goods, big round mugs of coffee and burlap table runners made from old coffee bean sacks, this shower looks like it was a ton of fun! And it definitely makes me crave coffee, that’s for sure! Many thanks to Lemon Fresh Designs Photography for sharing the sweetness with us. Click here for the full gallery of photos while I rush off to refill my cup.

From Lemon Fresh Designs PhotographyWe were really excited to help Amanda Powell plan her bridal shower. Over the winter, her fiancé, Jared, casually proposed while enjoying a vanilla bean latte on a Sunday morning, marking their four year anniversary. This intimate story made us swoon because it was perfect for Amanda’s personality to wear a “soft, latte-colored dress … white is too typical.” A coffee shop was perfect tribute to their story. Wanting to complement the textures, décor and lighting of the Bandit Coffee shop, a color palette of red, turquoise and brown was created. The stationery for guests’ invitations inspired Amanda’s palette, incorporating an exterior shot of the coffee shop with an old town treatment to match the handmade stamps. A beautiful harvest table was perfect for casual conversation and celebrations. Lined with burlap made from coffee bean sacks, guest place settings included teal, ceramic plates and a mixture of fresh florals, including deep red and coral roses, red anemones, tulips, spring ferns and camellia foliage and presented in a mixture of vessels. Amanda’s shower wasn’t complete without a sweet table! Guests enjoyed a variety of white and turquoise cake pops, mini donuts and a two-tier, topsy-turvy, buttercream, white chocolate cake. All beautifully done in a unique style and quirky touch that Amanda was looking for! As guests gathered to depart, they were treated with a bottle of Amanda’s homemade vanilla bean extract. Decorated with inspiration from her stationery set, bottles were wrapped in red and white bakers’ twine. Certainly a beautiful tribute to a love story and more importantly, Amanda adored how unique, non-traditional and intimate her shower was!
