It’s Friday, and I’m in love. In love with this could-not-be-more charming wedding captured oh-so-perfectly by We Heart Photography. The sweet smiles and chic rustic details will make any SMPer fall head over heels for this fête, so get ready for a gush-fest. From the Bride… I absolutely love history and Old Western culture, as well as anything vintage, so put all that together and you get my inspiration for our wedding! My family and I did a ton of DIY projects. My dad made the big lantern of mason jars, Logan’s dad made our wooden laddered cake stand and all the direction signs (which Logan and I painted). My sister and mom made a ton of small decor items: the cards sign, painted mason jars, colored textured balls, triangular banners, and much more! I printed everything, the tags around the bubbles, the tags around the pear favors (all of which my bridesmaids and I put together to put string on and around the items). I also painted all the signs that had chalk written on them with chalkboard paint. My pastor’s wife hand-sewed ALL of our table runners our of burlap and lace.
My favorite moment of the day was walking back down the aisle with Logan, holding his hand and feeling so excited that we were finally married. Logan says his favorite moment was seeing me for the first time.
My advice to other brides is to find people you trust to help bring your vision to life, whether it be family, friends, the wedding party, a coordinator or others. I could not have asked for a better day, and it was because of all the help we were blessed to have from people who were dedicated to helping our ideas become reality!
