New York City screams romance to me. I’ve never really been able to put my finger on exactly why, but these gorgeous engagement photos from Marta Locklear proves the Big Apple provides the perfect backdrop for all that unspoken romance to unfold. From Marta Locklear… Katie and Jeff’s wedding is going to be near their hometown in Virginia in September, but they wanted to capture a bit more of their current world for their engagement session, as they both live and work in New York City. So we made plans for me to travel up and spend a few hours capturing them in some staple locations around the city. It was so crowded, but with a lot of patience on their behalf, I believe the images turned out amazing. They appear as if they are the only two people in the city when they look at each other. We spent a little bit of time in Central Park and then cabbed it down to the Brooklyn Bridge and another small park in downtown. I so eager to capture them in the polar opposite environment as they tie the knot under an ancient Willow Tree at Sundara in Roanoke, Virgina this September.
