Wilmington Wedding at Poplar Grove Plantation by Jen + Ashley Photography

Nothing says I am a bright and fabulous Southern shindig quite like chevron lounge furniture. It makes for really pretty photo-ops by Jen + Ashley Photography and an all around crazy adorable wedding. One that we encourage you to check out in its entirety right here because there is so much more chevron, a crazy in love Bride and Groom and maybe a striped pouf or two just waiting to be pinned.

From Jen + Ashley PhotographyOlivia and Jon’s wedding was designed entirely by the bride and her brother! They wanted to create a sweet, low-key wedding with plenty of southern charm! Approaching the wedding as more of a backyard dinner party than a grand affair, they chose details that reflected Olivia and Jon’s low-key and easy lifestyle. Simple details like a custom bean bag chair “lounge,” natural florals and a playful navy and yellow color palette tied the whole event together perfectly. Olivia sourced many of her details from family, friends and T.J.Maxx, and she purchased her gorgeous lace gown from a boutique in her hometown of Washington, North Carolina. Serving good, southern food, the buffet, which included ham biscuits, fried chicken and pimento sandwiches, went perfectly with the amazing southern pound cake served with homemade vanilla ice cream and fresh peaches. Wanting a wedding that would keep all their guests entertained, they included bocce ball, cornhole and ladder ball on the plantation lawn and served homemade, fresh-squeezed lemonade and apricot peach tea. All of the place cards for the food and drink, along with the invitations, were created and printed by the bride and her brother. Choosing unfussy, simple yet beautiful details kept the wedding true to the vibe Olivia and Jon had imagined!
