We’re wrapping up another fab week here at SMP Florida with this pretty Key West soiree. These fun loving high school sweethearts knew exactly what they wanted for their big day and they weren’t about to let any conventional wedding ideas hold them back. They opted for a laid back, beach meets barnyard wedding, which is totally fitting since the bride grew up on a farm just a few minutes from the beach. From the Bride… I was with my husband for nine years before we married. Our friends and family have been there with us every step of the way — from being high school sweethearts and going to college, to graduating and getting grown-up jobs. The one promise we made together while planning this wedding was to keep everything fun … and us. And not get overwhelmed with what a wedding “should be.” The mustaches, mason jars, hand-picked flowers, antique window seating charts, and mustache flasks embodied just that. We decided to let the beach speak for itself and bring a barn yard feel to Key West. Growing up with the beach 15 minutes away but also on a farm really tied our theme together. The bridesmaids and I tied the tags (purchased from Etsy) around the mason jars with a thick hemp. The mustache sticks were a great way for people to start conversations, dance and take amazing pictures with. Overall, the inspiration truly lay behind the fact that we were celebrating our love with the people we cherished. We wouldn’t have changed a thing.
