From Anna Jones PhotographyThere is something truly magical about Anna and Chris — their love for each other is evident in every smile, touch and kiss. When these two are together, it’s as though a magnetic force keeps them inseparable. Anna and Chris met online after their friends urged them set up profiles.  Anna wasn’t actively looking at the time, and when she finally decided to delete the profile her sister had set up for her, she got a message from Chris. After a couple weeks of chatting, they had their first date at Dairy Queen followed by a movie, and as the evening came to a close, they both felt incredibly comfortable with each other despite the fact that they had just met. Their romance quickly blossomed, and Chris proposed to Anna Christmas morning while they were exchanging gifts. Chris planned the sweetest proposal for Anna – he had given her a vintage Polaroid Business Edition camera with black and white Polaroid film. Excited, Anna eagerly snapped a photo of their cat to test the camera out and instead of the photo she was expecting, the Polaroid picture that came out had the words “Will You Marry Me?” written on it.  Surprised, she turned to face Chris who was on bended knee, ring in hand, repeating the words she had just read. They framed the Polaroid photo and displayed it at the reception.

Anna and Chris were married at the gorgeous Billings Bridge Estate in Ottawa, Ontario, in early May underneath the blooming crab apple trees – a perfect location for their spring-themed wedding. The wedding colors were light coral and pink with some fresh light green accents. They had decided on an outdoor garden ceremony, followed by an intimate celebration with their close friends and family at the Courtyard Restaurant in Ottawa’s Byward Market. The feel for the day was romantic and whimsical. Anna and Chris are an extremely easy-going and fun-loving couple, and when it came time for their formal photos, Anna wanted to go to the amusement park at Dow’s Lake, which was set up for the Tulip Festival! Surrounded by the buzz and color of the carnival, they laughed, ate cotton candy and took a ride on the carousel! Before entering for their dinner at the Courtyard Restaurant, Anna and Chris shared a dance as an outdoor band played just for them – people gathered and watched as these two lovebirds shared their first dance as husband and wife! Their day was also enhanced by personalized touches — Anna is extremely talented and made the bridesmaids belts herself, creating a unique keepsake for each lady. At their reception, a group of close friends rallied together to assemble the centerpieces from flowers bought in bulk into unique, romantic arrangements at each table. Anna also painted an old-fashioned mailbox to collect the cards from guests. Anna looked like a princess out of a fairy tale and Chris looked every bit the part of Prince Charming. As their wedding day unfolded, it truly felt like a storybook romance and the perfect beginning to a lifetime of happiness together.
