The Biltmore Estate Wedding from Life Stage Films + Asheville Event Co.

A wedding at The Biltmore Estate, planned and perfected by Asheville Event Co. all wrapping up with a fireworks display could ONLY captured one way – absolutely beautifully. And who better than Life Stage Films to capture said soiree? I’d venture to say no one. It’s a magical highlight film for your weekend; one that you will adore!

The exact details of Katie & Jimmy’s first official meeting is still  up for debate between them, but it’s generally agreed that they met at  a party at Katie’s house in 2002. They attended Appalachian State and  both loved living in Boone, NC. So six years later when all the twists  and turns of their relationship landed them ready to make the  commitment of marriage, there was no doubt the mountains would be  involved.

It was so sweet when Jimmy popped the question on a  beautiful summer night, on the Blue Ridge Parkway, at sunset. And it

was just as magical over a year later when they said their vows on a  perfect autumn evening, overlooking the Blue Ridge mountains, at  sunset.

The theme for the whole wedding parallels the values of our  lives, and was inspired by a simple throw pillow at Katie’s  grandmother’s house. The pillow (which made a cameo on the sweetheart  table at the wedding) reads “All Things Grow With Love”. So we wanted  the wedding to reflect the fulfillment that comes with embracing a  loving attitude toward all things – both the greenery, ferns,  hydrangeas and roses on the table and the community of great family  and friends that will carry us through all the phases of life.

There were antique touches, inspired by Katie’s 1920 engagement ring and the  backdrop of the Biltmore Estate, that were expressed by lanterns, old  books, vintage furniture, and a “gypsy jazz” band for cocktail hour.  Her dress by Liancarlo was alancelon lace embroidered with pearls from  her grandmothers dress, and perfectly accented with her mothers  cathedral veil. The overall vision was absolutely brought to life by  Asheville Event Company – a little bit of “secret garden meets  midsummer nights dream” – classy yet magical, intimate yet grand,  unique and full of love.
