3 Oaks Vineyard Wedding by We Heart Photography

Barn weddings hold a very special, very forever spot in my heart. Just two years ago I was a barn dwelling Bride and can attest to the magic of rustic infused nuptials full of chandeliers and beautiful light streaming through the wood walls of an old barn. It’s like nothing else and We Heart Photography gets that magic; that nod to vintage mixed with a super comfy, cozy feel that a spot like 3 Oaks Vineyard lends to an affair. It makes for the prettiest of weddings but also weddings with a ton of heart and a whole lot of spunk. The kind of weddings that we welcome with open arms around these parts. Now take that pretty little mouse and click here for so much more.

From the Bride… Ryan and I met in my backyard on a visit home from college. I had invited a bunch of people over to hang out, and he tagged along with one of them. We knew right away that God had brought us together, and we haven’t stopped loving and laughing since that night. I’ve always dreamed of having a barn in my wedding, and it just so happened that a mile away from my house was this amazing venue! I wanted the wedding to be fun and comfortable for everyone and to have it reflect our personalities, so we stuck with a rustic theme with a lot of homemade touches. Our favorite DIY project for the wedding was making all of the little mason jar pies for the guests. My whole family pitched in in making and baking them, which made it really special. Friends helped decorate, my sister designed our programs and signs, and my cousin made the amazing cake pops. I felt so blessed and grateful for the way everyone gave their time and talents to help make our day come together!

My favorite moment of the day was our first look. I was so nervous with excitement and anticipation, and I just couldn’t believe that the moment I had been waiting for had finally come. The instant Ryan turned around to see me, we both lost it and couldn’t hold the tears back. I will never forget the look on his face and just how sweet that moment was. My advice to other brides would be don’t sweat the small stuff. On the day of the wedding nothing else matters except the fact that you get to walk down the aisle and marry your best friend. So trust that everything will come together just fine, when people offer to help let them, and try to just enjoy the process. The day flies by so soak in every single moment. It’s way more about the people and the love that fills the day than the details.
