San Diego Museum of Art Wedding from Studio Carré + I Do… Weddings!

If wedding’s had middle names, this ones would be breathtaking. It’s pure sophistication with audible gasps in every image from Studio Carré. Every single heartfelt detail from I Do… Weddings! is better than the last, even when you’re sure it can’t possibly get any better. It does! The gallery is full of proof.

From I Do… Weddings!Jen and Tomer had an absolutely breathtaking traditional, yet modern Jewish wedding in February of 2012.The Museum of Art, located in historical Balboa Park, was the perfect backdrop to the simple elegance of their wedding celebration. Jen and Tomer went to high school together, so they had many friends and family in town to enjoy the big day. Jen selected a neutral palette of creams, ivory and blushes, brought together beautifully by Blush Botanicals. Soft candle light and overhead market lighting set the tone.

One of the most fun aspects of the day was the different rooms they guests were able to experience. The day began in the beautiful sculpture courtyard for drinks, all while sitting on lounge furniture and enjoying Balboa Park’s architecture. During this time, Jen and Tomer and their families gathered in art galleries to sign the ketubah. Guests were then invited into the Rotunda for the ceremony.

The ceremony was stunning with a beautiful chuppah sitting at the bottom of a striking staircase. The steps and aisle were lined with candles for a romantic effect. Immediately following the ceremony, guests sat down for a family style dinner, first dance and toasts under market lighting in the courtyard of the museum. Finally, guests were brought inside the museum auditorium to dance with a live band and dessert. The reception was incredibly special, as Talia, the daughter of the Best Man, performed a dance for the newlyweds. It is simple touches like these that gave guests a true understanding of what was important to the couple. I really enjoyed getting to know the couple, and also giving the guests a grand reveal of a new space to explore several times throughout the evening.
