From Amanda Megan Miller Photography… Crystal and Tyler’s Mayne Stage wedding was a true testament to how laid-back and fun-loving they are! Not to mention a testament to how much they really value their oh-so adorable family unit! From visiting their self-proclaimed “love alley” that they walked up and down to each others’ apartments when they were first dating to the stories of how their family unit came to be incorporated into their ceremony and wedding, Crystal and Tyler’s wedding was unequivocally a true representation of them as a couple … and as a family. The day began with Crystal getting ready at her hotel with all her sisters, bridesmaids and as many family members as the room could fit! The feelings of love and excitement for her in that room were palpable! Crystal had such beautiful treasures and heirlooms weaved into both her accessories and the ceremony, such as a beautiful antique ring box and her grandpa’s Chicago Cubs pin on her bouquet! Crystal’s wedding gift to Tyler was a very cool pocket watch with the inscription, “Always and Forever 3-31-12.”
Since Crystal and Tyler were having both their ceremony and reception at Mayne Stage, they spent the afternoon traipsing through the city, taking photos, before the big event. First up, was their “love alley.” These two were absolutely giddy to see each other and have a little alone time for photos. And of course, they stopped into the bar where they first met. Crystal got behind the bar, like she was when Tyler first walked into her life, but this time around, Tyler decided to just go for it right away! After a couple drinks, it was off to the lakefront for some wedding party fun. Crystal’s mismatched bridesmaids were styled to perfection, each with their own unique accessories and look. After braving the brisk Chicago weather in March, everyone piled into the limo and headed to the venue for the wedding! Some quick touch-ups, a little glass clinking, and it was time! Crystal and Tyler took the stage in the Mayne Stage theater in front of their loved ones and promised each other, forever. Their daughters, Rhiannon and Clara, looked happy as can be up there with them! Clara stole the show, preciously voicing her approval, now and again. After some very touching vows and sweet tears, Crystal and Tyler were pronounced married, and the girls joined them center stage to celebrate! After that, it was party time! First up was Crystal and Tyler’s first dance to the Tom Waits song, “All the World is Green.” Eventually, their girls joined the dance too. So sweet! Then We, Unity Candle took the stage, playing all those great ’90s jams and getting everybody on their feet! The guests took to the floor and danced all night long, celebrating the beautiful union of Crystal and Tyler!
