Lachlan Burrell Photography is bringing us a feast of pretty today by way of this beauty filled to the brim with rustic sophistication. And for that, we owe a big thank you. The scenery in itself is enough to make my day, but when you top it off with a wedding that wows – well that’s a wedding blogger’s dream come true…and it all makes for one full gallery that just cannot be missed!
From the Bride… Damien’s proposal was unexpected … having previously made the grand gesture of flying all the way from Iceland where he was working to Sydney to spend a Valentine’s Day together, he knew a quick walk on my favourite Sunshine Coast beach after nine days of rain wouldn’t raise suspicion. Of course I said yes and the wedding planning started.
We didn’t really have a clue what we wanted, and eloping to Tuscany was even a possibility. We knew we wanted good food and wine, and it all fell quickly into place the day we discovered Bistro Molines in the Hunter Valley and met Sally, the owner. The view was breathtaking, the menu was divine, and the styling was perfect. “Rustic sophistication,” Sally proudly announced, and there, we even had our theme. On the day, our family and friends gathered in the little church for the ceremony, followed by local sparkling wine overlooking the vineyards and shared a menu of our personal favorites created especially for us by Chef Robert Molines. We ate, drank and danced into the night … our day was perfect.
