From eLLe PHOTOGRAPHY… Taures and Mike got married over Memorial Day weekend in Napa Valley at the Villagio Estate, which is located in the charming town of Yountville. The setting was a gorgeous brick courtyard that’s tucked away in the middle of the town. The wedding was everything Taures and Mike had hoped it would be. They kicked off their day with a private signing of their domestic partnership papers, followed by a champagne toast with their closet friends and family members. After that, they had a public ceremony for all their friends and family, which was officiated by Mike’s close friend, Nicole, and Taures’ close friend, Jimmy. The two friends told the crowd funny and touching stories about the couple, and by the end of the ceremony, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Having a great party was really important to Taures and Mike, so after the ceremony, they had a cocktail hour followed by a buffet dinner and dancing. To get everyone in a party mood, they named their tables after “divas” like Madonna and Lady Gaga. Everyone received a CD sampling of their diva’s songs, and they were called up to the buffet by the DJ who played one of their hits. The best number was Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” which brought the grooms up to their feet to dance. After dinner, the party moved to the Barrel Room, which the couple had decked out like a dance club, complete with low lighting and more fun tunes. Everyone danced the night away late, late into the evening — a nice feature of this venue is that it doesn’t require the party to stop at 10 p.m. like most other Napa Valley venues — and from the looks on everyone’s faces, they had just attended the party of the season.
