Here at SMP, we consider ourselves big Carla Ten Eyck fans. Maybe even the biggest. When Carla sends one of her weddings our way, I can not contain the glee. And when Datura: A Modern Garden is behind the floral design - the glee maybe doubles. As you can most definitely see from this wedding, Datura has a way with flowers - turning them into pieces of art that make a wedding phenom. And Carla Ten Eyck has a way with her camera - turning the phenom wedding into a piece of art itself. Seen in it's entirety in the full gallery, this wedding is our favorite kind of art.

From the lovely bride... Our wedding was filled with a variety of personal touches. From scouring our parent's basements to shopping on Etsy, our wedding included various vintage items that created a vintage, yet chic look.

The various effects could be seen throughout our wedding and included the following:

-Lauren's grandmother's antique table and Remington typewriter
-A "Brophy brick" from Lauren's ancestor's brickyard
-Lauren's floral bouquet had her grandmother's locket tied to the front
-Lauren's father's antique trunk was used for gift cards
-Stephen's parents restored an old plantation shutter, which was used to display the escort cards and skeleton keys.
