These college sweethearts married in the bride’s childhood church, surrounded by clouds of white fluffy Westbank Florist florals. Clad in a crystallized belt and lovely lace added to her mother’s veil, this bride upped the ante of her textural Lazaro threads. From the Bride… My husband and I met in college at a typical sorority/fraternity mixer. We were really good friends for about a year and then one day, we started falling for each other. The rest is history, and we are now married! Our wedding took place in Austin, Texas, on November 5th, 2011. It was more than just a wedding to us, it was about what it meant: we were finally becoming one. I think that is why the wedding felt so intimate and romantic. It fit me and my husband’s style perfectly. We got married in the church that I grew up in, so it was a meaningful place to start our marriage. From the flowers to the cakes, all the little details made our the whole evening perfect. I used my mom’s veil that she wore when she married my dad 30 years ago, and we added some lace that matched my dress. Our ringer bearer pillows were made out of flowers, so my two cute nephews looked adorable with them. My cake was my favorite part of the wedding! My florist got a clear glass cake stand and put tons of green hydrangea underneath it with tons of candles around the edge. My florist even put up lights, lanterns and candles in the front garden by the entrance of the reception. We ended our perfect evening by leaving in a romantic 1960’s Rolls Royce. There couldn’t have been a better way than our wedding to celebrate the beginning of our new life together.
