From the Bride… Kevin and I met in middle school and were quick to discover we were polar opposites in many areas. We continued through high school together and began to appreciate each other’s idiosyncrasies and developed an incredible friendship. After graduation Kevin and I took different paths, including him moving to a different state. In February 2008, after years of maintaining a connection, we both realized that we stumbled upon something that was more than friendship — these opposites were attracting! After a year or so of long-distance dating, Kevin moved back to his home state of Georgia, where we continued dating until he proposed!
During wedding planning, we realized we had different ideas as to what type of venue we wanted. After visits to several locations, we went to the Cotton Warehouse and instantly agreed. This was the place. With its innate rustic charm, we were able to easily create decor that would tie everything together. I am big into DIY and personalization, so the Cotton Warehouse was also perfect to reflect the little details that made the day so special (with some help, we stamped and tied all the programs, the favor bags, and even the cake topper!). We also tried to gather books for the centerpieces that reflected our interests. For him, history and presidents, and for me, science and theater. It ended up being the perfect choice of décor because Kevin and I both enjoy visiting antique shops!
