Canmore Wedding at Silvertip by Infused Studios

Take a minute to cool off from this May heatwave with a sweet winter wedding captured by Infused Studios. DIY-ing as much as they possibly could (they sewed each of their invitations and handmade their hot cocoa favors!) this adorable couple embraced Canada’s winter and planned a celebration filled with muted colors and simple elegance. See this beauty from start to finish in the full gallery!

From Infused StudiosErika and Chris are one the most adorable couples we’ve ever met. They put so much thought and love into every detail of their wedding — from the stationery to the favours, they created a warmth that completely reflected their loving personalities. Erika planned every detail of her rustic winter wedding herself, including convincing Chris into helping sew the wedding invitations! They designed their pine cone-themed stationary themselves (wow!) and filled their wedding day with family heirlooms and vintage treasures.

Erika’s timeline started two days before the wedding, outlining who was doing what and when — everything, even the weather, delivered on time! The day before the wedding, the ground was bare, but on their wedding day, the snow didn’t stop falling. They married in St. Michael’s Anglican Church, which has a beautiful wooden interior. From the ceremony the bridal party braved the snow, cold and (not so thin) ice.

Their reception at Silver Tip continued the rustic feel with wood beam ceilings, exposed stone and the warm glow of candles. Erika has a serious sweet tooth, so they cut the cake before the meal! It was chocolate for everyone — cake, cupcakes and handmade hot chocolate wedding favours, complete with mini marshmallows. We loved everything about their wedding & hope you do too!

From the Bride… It was soooo cold outside but hilarious as we all huddled together to stay warm for pictures. It’s something we probably will never forget, especially when one of the groomsmen was like “Be careful with the blanket — you’re going to mess up Erika’s hair!” I found it hilarious how one of the groomsmen just booked it to the car while the rest of us leisurely walked back to the car when we were done taking photos. We were so scared that one of the dogs from the dog park was going to tackle us to the ground, but luckily the owners kept it all under control!
