Ireland Wedding at Kilshane House by Lisa O’Dwyer Photography

The classic Irish details and the whimsical spirit of this Kilshane House wedding is something out of a story book. The story of the Russian ballet Swan Lake to be exact. Lisa O’Dwyer Photography used masterful focus techniques to tell the story of this bride and groom’s day, which features bridesmaids dresses, a feather and pearl encrusted wedding gown, and a veil all inspired by Swan Lake and hand made by the bride’s Maid of Honor and sister.  After you look at the tease below, you simply must see the stunning sister in her own Pippa-esque creation and the surprise back of the bride’s dress in the full gallery!

From Lisa O’Dwyer Photography… Bo’s sister Adah (the blonde bridesmaid) made her wedding dress. Bo had Swan Lake as inspiration and Adah hand-sewed pearls and feathers to the duchess satin gown. She made the bridesmaids’ dresses too, and everything was her own design. Her signature emblem is sewn into the back of the dress. Adah is not a professional dress designer — this is her hobby. She was on a two-week Easter holiday from her art teacher job when she made the dresses (and veil)! The flowers were all designed by Bloomsday Flowers in Carrigtwohill, County Cork, Ireland. The inspiration was vintage country flowers, and Bo put a lot of thought into them based on the symbolism and language of flowers. Siobhan Walsh of Ballyneill in County Tipperary, where Bo is from, designed the cake in traditional Irish sugarcraft with pearls to match Bo’s dress. The country village church was in Bansha, County Tipperary, which is close to the venue Kilshane House. Kilshane House was built in the Regency period in 1822 and features a stunning glass house conservatory where the wedding party had their cocktail hour. The house is full of beautiful, whimsical details. There are also two dogs who belong to the owners of the house, and they love having their portraits taken!
