They say the devil is in the details but we tend to think the beauty and the love are in all those glorious little bits. Like seating cards tied up with string or personalized wedding mad libs placed at each table setting. From Lindsey Cahill Photography… Cory and Kristen’s friendship blossomed into a relationship a little over a year ago, leading to this beautiful day in which they became husband and wife (aka “The Best Day Ever,” according to their itinerary). I loved everything about this wedding — Kristen looked absolutely stunning in her lovely Vera Wang gown and vintage family heirloom jewelry, and the venue was so perfect with all its charm and rustic details, even down to the mad libs left on the tables for guests to fill out (how the couple asked for advice and for guests to leave them a note). With Cory’s cousin as the officiant, the ceremony was personal, sweet, funny and unique. My favorite thing they did was write letters to each other about what they love about each other and seal them in a box with a bottle of wine to open in five years to read and drink — they plan to repeat the process every five years, each time they open the box. The reception was a blast with the crowd ready to dance the night away and share in the traditional moments of first dances, toasts, tosses and cake — there’s always room for cake!
