Los Angeles Wedding at The London West Hollywood by Erin Hearts Court

When it comes to wedding design, there is not much I love more than when Modern collides spectacularly with Classic. White peonies and black calligraphy with pops of complete fabulous sprinkled in for good measure. It’s a combo that will always have this blogger’s heart and our next wedding, photographed flawlessly by our friends at Erin Hearts Court, is about as good as it gets. The best part? There is a lot more of the stunning sitting right here in our gallery.

From the Bride… After the first time I saw “Father of the Bride,” I knew I had the bride gene. Once Drew finally popped the big question after five and a half years of dating, the wedding planning was in full swing. We knew we were going to have the wedding in Los Angeles, but being from Texas, I had to bring bigger and better to sunny, southern California. After many days of scouting locations, we came across The London. It was love at first sight. The rooftop ceremony was exactly the romantic setting I had been looking for. We wanted something young, chic and “hip” as my dad would say. There were so many aspects of planning a wedding of 240 people, but with the help of my mom and Drew’s mom, it seemed like a breeze! After deciding the wedding would be black tie, everything seemed to fall into place. First and foremost, after booking the location all I cared about was THE DRESS. I found my dream Vera Wang a minute after walking into the boutique. It was different and something I hadn’t seen on anyone. It was an unexpected choice, but looking back, I still want to wear it everyday. Shopping for my gown with my mom was a special memory I will never forget. A sign of a successful wedding is seeing guests out on the dance floor. Well, our band took care of that! The dance floor was mobbed the entire night. The guests all stayed till the last song was played. One of my best friends, Lindsay, even sang for us with the band, which was totally awesome. Flowers were another huge consideration, but after meeting with our florist, we were set with a design concept that was timeless and elegant. I knew I wanted an ombre effect that would go with all of the bridesmaids dresses I chose, but that was it. I left the entire design and floral choice to our florist, and I thought it came out to perfection. She used a color palette of primarily whites with touches of dark purple and lavender. Secondary accents were light charcoal gray. Having a wedding away from home, I wanted someone to preside over the wedding who had known me my whole life. We were delighted to have our rabbi from Houston fly in and conduct the ceremony.  It made for a very special evening. I knew another extremely important vendor I had to have was a fabulous photographer.  Well, after meeting with Erin and Courtney of Erin Hearts Court, we knew we were going to have the memories of a lifetime. After all, all you have left are the pictures. At midnight, another treat — my parents’ gift to Drew was In N Out Burger. I can honestly say, my groom couldn’t have been happier! The truck came and made any burger our guests dreamed of eating. I’d say for having a bridal party of 24, an adorably cute nephew ring bearer and two large families, the wedding felt very intimate. A night to never forget.
