From Christine Williams PhotographyAn eco-friendly team collaborated on this rustic, vintage-inspired stylized wedding at UBC Farm in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia. With a unique farm-forest setting unlike anywhere else in Vancouver, the UBC Farm provides a stunning site for weddings. The romantic wedding dress is made from ivory, organic cotton that is covered by English cotton lace. With a modest illusion neckline in front and a deep V in the back, this dress is the perfect balance. The little cap sleeves are a fantastic addition to this fitted bodice. The skirt is fitted through the hips then flares out into a beautiful chapel train, and the whole dress is trimmed with lace which is sewn on by hand. True to the eco-friendly theme, the programs are mounted on a pine board, wrapped in a sleeve made of recyclable kraft paper. The invitations and paper place cards were created with recycled paper and soy inks. The napkin rings are bound by a bamboo wrapper with a small skeleton key for a vintage accent. The thoughtful and fun favours contain little packets of seeds in a recyclable kraft envelope. The amazing altar scene was created by utilizing burlap with up-cycled lace. Vintage chairs, benches, china and tables give the decor a lot of character any vintage lover can appreciate.

The vintage, posy-style bouquet makes the most of different elements — using vintage lace, burlap loops, craspedia, succulents, blooms and foliage to create a layered, textural look. The blooms included are: cream and pink garden roses, “secret garden” blush roses, riceflower, poppies, queen Anne’s lace, dusty miller and seeded eucalyptus. The “classic with a twist” boutonniere uses a white rose and white ranunculus with seeded eucalyptus, riceflower and dusty miller accents. For the full, lush curtain arrangements, we used a mixture of white hydrangea, cream and pink garden roses, “secret garden” blush roses, riceflower, pale pink double tulips, cream lisianthus, craspedia, seeded eucalyptus, pittosporum, burlap and lace loops. The gorgeous ruffled cake, cookies, cake pops and cupcakes were made with organic ingredients. Makeup artist Hayley is working towards creating a more eco-friendly cosmetic environment. Hayley’s makeup kit includes organic cotton pads, bamboo makeup brushes, organic skincare and organic makeup.
