Agnes Water Golf Club Wedding by Marina Locke Photography

Gorgeous doesn’t even begin to describe this Queensland bride.  Her vintage style is nothing short of perfect with her custom-made, lace and beaded dress that she designed herself, matching veil and bracelet.  I love that she added a touch of quirky comfort with her mint-hued converse sneakers!  The bride, teamed up with Pretty My Love, impeccably curated every inch of this vintage celebration bringing in oodles and oodles of decor not only to fill the beach-side ceremony and lovely reception tent but to create some of the most beautiful getting ready shots I’ve ever seen!  See it all in the full gallery!

From the bride, Annie… Our fabulous wedding all started off with a spin in the sky in a friend’s aeroplane on October 27th 2011. Jordan had organised to take me for a fly over our small town Theodore, little did I know my country lad had a surprise proposal planned and harvested into a wheat crop, Marry Me! With family and friends surrounding us we celebrated long into the night.

We couldn’t wait to get married so we set to work organising our big day in the not too distant future.

Having a love of trendy trash and all things vintage in a picture perfect setting, our favourite beachside spot The Town of 1770 complemented the elements that inspired our simply gorgeous day that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

It was important to Jordan and I not to just decorate but to include family and friend’s precious memorabilia in our theme. It felt wonderful having so much family heritage and loved ones “pieces“at our wedding.  It gave a sense of everyone being there with us to add to the celebration.

With the help of many family and friends we collected suitcases, sewing machines, buttons, bobbins, telephones, camera’s and the list goes on.

With my head full of ideas it was fantastic and so exciting nutting out every minute detail; it didn’t feel like a chore at all. I’m currently studying Interior Design, so being enthralled in styling and DIY, I loved it.

In the lead up to the wedding there was a lot of preparation.  My mother and father’s house became my styling workshop. We had many working bees with family and friends helping lighten the load, making things from scratch and bringing my ideas to life.

By the time we collected everything, my ‘one in a million’ father towed a 6 metre long tandem trailer packed to the brim; 225km to deliver the goods (all intact).

The marquee went up and I carefully selected the props for each table, having sentimental value to those seated. The satisfaction that you feel when you know your hard work is loved by your loved ones is amazing.

I now have all the treasures (no doubt will keep collecting…) and personal experience I need to kick start my new adventure of starting up Events and Wedding Styling. Can’t wait!

My Nana passed away the month before our wedding so the decision for my bridal shoot to be a tribute to her was easily made by Marina Locke Photography and Pretty My Love yet heartfelt. This was an extraordinarily beautiful part of my day, a treasured memory forever.

My family were amazing they would have moved heaven and earth to make our day perfect and that’s exactly what it was. From travelling far and wide to driving hours to pick up flowers and making the wedding cake, their support and efforts are unforgettable.

So many moments throughout the day had special meaning, my 3 beautiful cousins sang as I walked down the sandy beach aisle to marry Jordan. They did a superb job, so good in fact it I couldn’t hide my tears.

A special mention to my Uncle Lindsay (LMC Motorhomes) for making another one of my dreams come true, he completed my 1973 Kombi Myrtle just in the nick of time. She may have nearly stolen the show on the day.

And last but not least when little hiccups came along there was always Mum, open arms and a warm hug.
