Glacier National Park Wedding by Jeremy and Alicia Brown Photography

Green as far as the eye can see, lush doesn’t even come close to describing this wedding by Jeremy and Alicia Brown Photography held at Glacier National Park. We’ve seen some pretty amazing wedding backdrops in our day, but Mother Nature definitely outdid herself on this one. It’s stunning and THEN some. And when you throw a plethora of perfectly imperfect florals in the mix? We are sold. Amazing vistas, lovely details, favorite-worthy florals – the gallery of this wedding is a must see!

From the Bride… Tyson and I met running cross-country at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. He thought I was daring, and I thought he was hilarious. We moved to Whitefish together in 2007 after we both graduated from college. Since moving here, we have been lucky to share so many adventures in Northwest Montana. One afternoon in the fall of 2010, when the larch were beginning to change colors, Tyson was determined to go for a run-hike up the Danny On Trail at Big Mountain with me to show me the amazing colors. We headed up the trail and a little over half way up we stopped at a rock ledge to look out over the valley. He got down on one knee and proposed there. It was a complete surprise.

Having spent the past four years living in Whitefish, Montana, with Glacier National Park as our playground, it was only natural to pick the location we did — Glacier Park Wedding Resort in West Glacier, Montana. We were married by our fellow hiking friend and pastor on a hillside looking out onto the mountains we had explored together. My goal was to keep the day simple and enjoy it. I used Style Me Pretty for lots of ideas. Providing a fun, relaxing, yummy and beautiful environment was the key to our planning, and each decision was made purposefully. Everything about the day was wonderful, from the ceremony to the food to the crazy dancing that closed the evening. It was a fun-filled week of utter bliss and complete exhaustion by the end. It would not have been as relaxing and easy to simply enjoy the day without Kelsey at Great Northern.

From Kelsey of Glacier Park Weddings at Great Northern ResortHolly and Tyson’s wedding was exactly what a wedding should be: a gorgeous celebration with a bride and groom who were relaxed, sparkling with excitement and soaking up all the love around them. They took full advantage of the natural Montana style of our grounds when they put together their rustic, romantic affair: native wildflowers abounded, the menu featured locally-sourced ingredients, and the favors — pint glasses printed with the outline of the state of Montana — were filled with local beer. Guests mingled about the airy tent to the tunes of a fantastic bluegrass string band and lounged on the straw-bale couch we crafted just for Holly and Tyson. Holly has a fabulous eye, and we spent lots of time sitting on the deck at Great Northern Resort in our sunglasses, brainstorming and collaborating and sharing ideas. My favorite moment was just before the ceremony, when my team and I had finished assembling all of Holly’s carefully-selected details, and Holly and her bridesmaids walked up into the tent. Seeing that everything had come together just as she had envisioned, she gave me a huge hug — and I was thrilled to know that she had the beautiful event she wanted AND a relaxing morning with her girls, with time to spare for some champagne before the ceremony!
