New Tripoli Farm Wedding by Alison Conklin Photography

A dolled-up vespa might be my new favorite mode of getaway transportation.  This couple looks so adorable as they make their way from their sweet church ceremony to stunning farm reception.  Speaking of their reception, I am absolutely in love with every single detail that they created for their special day from the hot pink chandeliers they painted themselves to the lollipop escort cards.  Alison Conklin Photography didn’t miss a thing so make sure you check out all the gorgeous images in the full gallery!

From the Bride… We started planning our wedding one year and one day before the big day. From the first day of planning, there were several things we were certain of: the reception venue would be my parents’ farm where I grew up, we wanted to ride away from the church on a 1963 Vespa that my husband had restored, and overall, we wanted to create an atmosphere that not only celebrated our love for each other, but also our love for our family and friends.

The rest of the planning took place during a very busy year of our lives, but thankfully our families were excited to help with all of the many projects we decided to take on. One of my favorite things about our wedding was that it allowed my husband and me to grow closer to each other and to many other family members as we all worked together to choose linens and napkins, paint hot pink chandeliers, craft lollipop place cards and build our bar out of old barn materials.

On the morning of our wedding, I took a break from the hair, makeup and mimosas to take the short walk out to the tent where our reception would be held.  It was breathtaking – family and friends were all gathered, laying out our tables in the perfect formation and ensuring that every chair, napkin, lollipop and flower was in the correct spot. Everything came together more perfectly than I could have ever imagined and, as the day unfolded, I was continually overwhelmed at the beauty and love that filled our wedding. I could not have asked for a more perfect day – even if our Vespa left us stranded on the side of the road on the way to the reception! Thanks to the wonderful Alison and Geoff Conklin for capturing every moment of our day for us!
