Chicago Engagement by Vienna Glenn Photography

A breathtaking Windy City backdrop, a bundle of brightly colored balloons and style for miles and miles – I’m swooning just thinking about this gorgeous e-shoot captured by Vienna Glenn Photography.  From the casual, at-home session (cute pup included!) to the sweet jaunt on the Navy Pier, it’s just one magical, love-filled moment after another.  And the stunning couple filling every last image with their smiling faces?!?  Simply LOVELY.  See it all here.

From the Bride-to-Be… We really wanted to capture our personalities in the session. By mixing style with location, we tried to accomplish that. My inspirations definitely came from two very different sources. One of those was the floor-to-ceiling windows in our new apartment. I love window light in photographs and just knew that they would photograph beautifully. I chose a sheer maxi skirt that would show light through and add a little flounce to the shots, as well as bare feet to create a relaxed feel. The second inspiration was a Harper’s Bazaar editorial with Mila Kunis. It was taken on a carousel and had a somewhat whimsical, circus feel to it. We decided to head down to Navy Pier on an unusually warm day in March, where we realized that it was the off-season and the carousel was closed! I mean, covered in a tarp and not even feasible to sneak on it, closed. However, with a great photographer nothing will ruin a vision! We worked with what we had, and I think we got even better images for it! Those particular outfits were chosen with COLOR in mind. It’s hard to get most men to wear a lot of color, so I sneaked in that bright tie for a compromise. Neither of us had gotten our photos taken since we were seniors in high school, and I have to admit they weren’t the best images I’ve ever seen, so we were definitely nervous about how the day would go. We were pleasantly surprised though and ended up having a fabulous time. It made me very excited and ready for the wedding!
