United States

I am totally blown away by this Spanish-inspired photo shoot by Orange Blossom Special Events and Krista Mason Photography.   I don't think I've ever seen so many pretty details packed into one inspiration shoot before!  That ceremony backdrop with florals by Peony & Plum Floral Design literally brings tears to my eyes it's so gorgeous and the tabletop is pure magic.  This talented team captured the dreamy, romantic, old-world essence that one finds in Spain and brought it home to this beautiful Southern California venue.  See it all in the full gallery!

From Orange Blossom Special Events... The orange blossom is known as the traditional Spanish wedding flower. After living in Sevilla, Spain for a semester, Brooke completely fell in love with Spanish architecture, dance, culture, food and way of living and, when Brooke started her wedding planning business, choosing “Orange Blossom Special Events” as her name was an easy choice. Just last year, Brooke and her husband had the opportunity to travel to Spain and, once again, she was overwhelmingly inspired by every building, tile and old church she laid her eyes on. Every night when they would settle into the hotel room, she would write down ideas for an “Old-World Spain stylized photo shoot.” Needless to say, as soon as they were back home, she immediately got to work on assembling a dream team of vendors for the shoot.

Of course, one of the most important elements of a photo shoot is the location. After coordinating a wedding at Villa Mara in 2011, Brooke knew immediately that it would be the perfect spot. The terra cotta colored tiles, wrought iron railing and bright potted flowers created the perfect setting. Another element of the photo shoot that had to be quintessentially Spanish was the dress. The amazingly talented Tashina Hunter created a stunning off-shoulder lace number that couldn’t have been more perfect. As soon as our model, Felicia Nott, stepped into the dress with her Jenny Dayco jewelry and hair and make-up by Emily Dawn Artistry, it was pure Spanish magic.

In addition, Brooke knew the stationery had to be special, and Christy Heng, Orange Blossom Special Events’ Design Specialist, did not disappoint. The invitation, menu and table number were so perfectly Spanish, it seemed as if they were plucked from the streets of Sevilla specifically for our photo shoot. In addition to the stationery, Susan Tom-Nellis of Peony and Plum created the most awe-inspiring floral arrangements that hit “old world Spanish” right on the nose — how cool is that ceremony backdrop with the ivy?! Archive Vintage Rentals of San Clemente, California, supplied the rentals for the photo shoot (Check out that couch And that chandelier!), and independent baker Sarah Schreckengaust created the cakes. With Krista Mason of Krista Mason Photography taking the shots, the results were stunning.
