Napa Valley Wedding from Angie Silvy Photography + Julie Stevens Design

I’m sure all you brides and grooms to be know about our Little Black Book. It’s a crazy good club for all our fave wedding pros – you’d be insane not to be taking advantage of that resource. This bride was the opposite of insane, unless you count her insanely gorgeous style. She scooped up a bunch of our LBBers for her Napa wedding, including Julie Stevens Design – the lady behind the flowers – Sweet on Cake, Got Light?, AND Coren Moore Inc. It was destined to be a fabulous wedding from her very first peek at the Little Black Book! And lucky for YOU LBBers, Angie Silvy Photography has filled a gallery with the entire amazing soiree.

Daniel and I met in San Francisco, where we had both been living for several years. He is from North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina, where many of my friends attended college. We met at a local bar where we were watching the UNC Tarheels play basketball. We had many friends in common, and we started hanging out more and more. We knew shortly that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.

One weekend after we had been together for about a year, we took a trip to Napa Valley to escape the rainy city. We stayed at the Carneros Inn, a beautiful hotel, and Daniel completely surprised me with a gorgeous ring and a proposal. Since Daniel is from North Carolina and I am from Texas, we knew people would have to travel to attend our wedding. We decided on the Carneros Inn because it is such an amazing property, and it was special to us since we became engaged there.

We decided on an October wedding because autumn is the best time in Napa. We chose fall colors- chocolate brown and persimmon orange- and threw in my favorite color, purple. Since the venue is already so naturally gorgeous, we wanted to highlight that with simple yet stunning flowers and details.

The Carneros Inn served a delicious dinner and excellent local wines. The wedding was simple, elegant, and intimate, which is just what we wanted. It was traditional, but we incorporated things that made it unique to us; I walked down the aisle to “All You Need Is Love,” one of Daniel’s favorite songs, and we shared a unity cup of wine during the ceremony. And of course, we had a cake shaped like a basketball. It was truly a fabulous day that we will never forget.
