Luxe Hotel Wedding from Bob Gail Special Events + Next Exit Photography

I love this time of year. Not only is the ground covered in snow (for you lucky Northerners), and couples are saying I Do with rosy cheeks and red noses, but we are constantly finding your gorgeous fall weddings in our inbox. Like this one, courtesy of Bob Gail Special Events. It’s got the most amazing colors, the most amazing textures, the most amazing S’more favors, and the most amazing couple. Need I say, we find it to be amazing? Click here for the rest from Next Exit Photography!

Mike and I went to the same high school, but never met. He was a year older then me and I knew a lot of his friends and he knew mine but we were never introduced. In 2004 I went to University of California, Irvine for my first year of college. The first night in the dorms, my roommate and I decided to go out and explore. As we were walking around we ran into a friend of mine from high school who invited us to a party at Mike’s apartment. Excited to be invited to a party on our first night, we gladly joined him. I met Mike that first night of college and the rest is history.

After we got engaged, we looked at several beautiful venues, but they all had very distinct styles that didn’t leave much room for creativity. When we walked into the Luxe the clean modern setting with trees wrapped in twinkling lights felt extremely welcoming and with room to add our own personality.

The main inspiration for our wedding was fall, fall and more fall. We love the seasonal colors and foods that go with this time of year. Usually in Los Angeles we don’t have much of a fall, but this year we had some of the most colorful leaves I have ever seen in LA, and our wedding was an extension of that.

It was really important to us that we incorporated personal traditions and touches throughout our wedding. It’s tradition in Judaism to be married under a Chuppah; we were married under the same covering my parents were married under in 1975. During the ceremony we drank from a Kiddush cup passed down from Mike’s great grandmother. It was very sentimental for us to incorporate these family heirlooms into the ceremony and connect both of our family histories.

The most vivid memories of our wedding day were signing the wedding Ketubah with our family and closest friends–it was was very emotional and meaningful. Second to that was dancing the Horah with so much enthusiasm and joy with all our wedding guests. We also found the most AMAZING wedding favors (S’mores+Muffins=Smuffins), which were the hit of the evening.
