Maui Elopement by Wendy Laurel

There is something so romantic about a wedding built for two. Just you and your love, a few witnesses and in this case, a gorgeous pineapple field backdrop. It has all the makings for a breath-taking Hawaiian elopement and Wendy Laurel’s photographs capture the magic beautifully – from first kiss to the first sunset walk as husband and wife. See it all here!

From Wendy of Wendy LaurelSylvie and Nathaniel are both architects from Canada who wanted a simple elopement in Hawaii but didn’t want a typical beach wedding. They saw some photographs on my blog taken in the old pineapple fields behind my house and decided they wanted a wedding there. They had a live webcast filmed during the ceremony so that their friends and family could be “there” with them. We just walked out into the fields and found a nice spot. I’m pretty sure they are the only people ever to get married there. We headed down to Canoe Beach for some more shots after the wedding and saw a rainbow on the way. I pulled over, and they jumped out for a quick rainbow shot.
