From Jen of Honey Lake Studio… Haley and Steven met and live in Brooklyn, New York. However, they wanted to return to Haley’s small-town Florida roots to celebrate their wedding with friends and family! Every detail of this wedding was DIY and budget friendly — from the handmade ceremony backdrop and the book paper ring garland above the dance floor to the cakes and pies made by family members and served on collected vintage plates. The wedding took place at the FFA Leadership Training Center in Haines City, Florida. Because of its remote location, friends and family were invited to stay in the cabins on site. This allowed for the party to continue late into the night, complete with bonfires and stargazing from the dock. At one point, guests could even look out into the lake and spot an alligator surfacing! How’s that for authentic? It was impossible not to notice the love for the couple from every person in attendance.
