Nashville Plantation Wedding by Austin Gros Wedding Photography

This adorable Nashville bride says that her wedding ceremony and reception were disconnected due to a mid-panning design change but I have to disagree.  I think the attire affair is completely elegant and pretty from start to finish with a soft, whimsical feel that swirls around every one of these dreamy images by Austin Gros Wedding Photography.   It is one of the chicest picnics I have ever seen.  See it all here!

Let's keep the pretty train a-rollin' with this lovely film by  Ryan Bernal Photography!

From the Bride...Ken and I spent our few dates picnicing - I would make lunch and Ken would drive over from the construction site where he was working. I started out planning a wedding that was (I thought) elegant and pretty - lots of soft pinks and purples. Then Ken and I saw Up! (the Pixar movie) and loved it so much it seemed ridiculous to not change the whole thing into a more relaxed, picnic inspired wedding (especially considering our first few dates).

That’s how we ended up with a ceremony and reception that were pretty disconnected. The ceremony remained soft and pretty and the reception changed into a brightly colored, Up!/picnic inspired party and I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out.

The only major (and last minute) DIY project were the strings of pennant flags. My bridesmaids and I made them. During the months leading up to the wedding I collected all the little bottles for the table arrangements. (I have eBay to thank for most of them).  Abi Reid at Nashville Event Lighting helped me pick out lanterns that we used to mimic a bunch of balloons and the gobos that would give that kaleidoscope effect of light shining through the aforementioned balloons. We went with cupcakes instead of a traditional cake because we thought they were also in keeping with the picnic feel we were going for.
