The Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove Wedding by Studio Impressions Photography

From the moment I read that this breathtaking bride proposed to her now husband with the aid of an elephant named “Cuddles,” I knew that these Australian nuptials would be spectacular.  How could they not be completely amazing with a beginning like that?  And with the fabulous stylings of W.EDDING CO., a beyond beautiful Persian ceremony, some lovely blooms by Style on Q and a reception bathed in one very gorgeous purple light, my heart hasn’t stopped pitter-pattering yet.  And, of course, it goes without saying that these brilliant images captured by Adam Finch and Marcus Bell of Studio Impressions Photography will leave you speechless… and completely spellbound for the rest of the day.  So, click here for every last ounce of pretty and then stay tuned for even more lovely below!

Oh, we’re not done yet.  Not only did the ever-amazing Mr. Bell and Mr. Finch gift us with some seriously stunning photos, but they graciously sent over one very fabulous film, as well.  The first time ever Studio Impressions has shared their cinematography with the blogosphere… and we have the honor of debuting it right here on SMP.  Do Tuesday mornings get any better than this?

From the Bride… I proposed on our 7 year anniversary using an elephant named “Cuddles” at Dubbo Zoo.  She was trained to hold the ring in her trunk and bend down on one knee and pass him the ring.  It was magical.

Our wedding theme was split between the ceremony and reception. We had a traditional Persian ceremony featuring whites and naturals with an opulent party reception featuring purple, navy, and brushed gold. The ceremony was unique, traditional, funny and warm. It could not have been more perfect. The speeches at the reception were another highlight. All 8 groomsmen spoke and they were all hilarious, sweet and special. Our bridal party (all 16 of them) were the most incredible, supportive, kind, beautiful group of people. We were blown away by their participation in the day and hope to return the favor!

I would have to say the top 5 things that made our wedding special would be (1) The traditional Persian ceremony. (2) The beautiful bridal party. (3) The speeches. (4) I LOVED my dress which was chosen in New York by Rey Hanna Vakili, my now sister-in-law. (5) Our planner, Jodie is hilarious AND talented and she made everything come together while keeping me laughing.

The thing I loved about our wedding photography was, they were totally unobtrusive. They are so so so so professional and got things done while not interfering at all in the proceedings. The slide show at the reception was AMAZING!!! The images are priceless.

My advice for other couples getting married is (1) Hire Jodie Randolph-Birch. (2) Let people help! People love to be given jobs to contribute and participate in the day. (3) Don’t let anyone tell you not to do something that you really want. Don’t be talked out of the big dress, the dramatic cake, the elaborate invites… Taking risks pay off to make a wedding unique and memorable.
