Spring House Hotel Wedding by Mia Campopiano Photography

Navy blue and pink just might be my new favorite color combination, so when I see it wrapped up in a preppy chic New England stunner like this one, I am instantly smitten.  And it’s not just the color palette that has me grinning from ear to ear.  No, this soiree is one gorgeous detail after another and with a stunning Rhode Island location, adorable bridesmaid dresses and a bow tied groom, I can think of no better way to jump start this lovely holiday weekend than surrounded by all of this nautical goodness.  Lucky for us, Mia Campopiano Photography was there to capture every last ounce of pretty, so be sure to join me in the gallery for even more!

From the Bride… Because money is tight for everyone, I had to take our budget, stretch it and work twice as hard to make my dream wedding come true. I had flowers added to my bouquet and arrangements from the horse barn that I have spent the past 23 years of my life riding at, we opted for cupcakes instead of a traditional 5-tier cake, we drove ourselves to the reception in my mother’s car, and I borrowed a $6,000 bracelet from the town’s jeweler. We went with a brunch reception instead of a sit down 5-course dinner, which made sense for us because brunch food is our favorite.

Even though this wedding wasn’t your “traditional” wedding, it was absolutely perfect for us! We had Dark ‘n Stormys, Mimosas, and Bloody Mary signature drinks during our cocktail hour. We had amazing brunch food ranging from an omelet station to a ham carving station. Everyone spent the entire day laughing, dancing, and crying happy tears. Our love story started in high school 10+ years ago, and you can see in our pictures that it only gets stronger as time goes on.

I have been going to Block Island for the past 20 years since I was the flower girl in my aunt and uncle’s wedding, and I have always known that this was where I was going to get married. Luckily for me, Mike also adores Block Island and has been coming with my family and I every summer for the past 7 years.
